10am to 1pm Saturday 28th July
This walk is designed for students who would like to learn about taking nature photographs form a creative perspective. You will consider the creative and interpretive methods that can be applied when creating images with impact. We will consider the types of photographs and possible themes that could be developed whilst enjoying a fun and creative day of photography.
This walk will provide a variety of artistic challenges with industrial backdrops, the Olympic sites and the park and canal settings.
Designed for mixed abilities so complete beginners with compact cameras and more experienced digital SLR camera users will both benefit from this walk. Knowledge of the specific features of your camera is essential but tutoring will be given on aspects such as depth of field for particular types of images and using appropriate camera settings.
Please note that this is not a technical course about how to use your particular camera. It is a course about exploring subject, composition and how to tell a story or evoke feelings about your subject. It is also a therapeutic journey into nature that will inspire and stretch your mind.
