We're renting out a double bedroom in a great warehouse in Hackney Wick.
Our living space is quite large as it is a converted warehouse, and we hang around here very often. We also have our personal workspaces/’workstations’, and if you need a place to work or practice an art or design thing of any sort, there’s plenty of space for that! We can do virtually everything with the interior, so it’s quite often redecorated. Our kitchen is connected to the living space, and has beautiful floor-ceiling red shelves, a gas stove/oven, washing machine and everything you’d expect from a decent kitchen. There is one toilet and one bathroom with a shower.
The room has a massive window that gets illuminated in the morning and is furnished with an IKEA wardrobe, bed and set of drawers.
The area is wonderful: loads of galleries, artists and generally creative people that create a nice sense of community. There's also the Canal and Victoria Park ! Parties are abundant! Transport links are brilliant: 3 min walk to Hackney Wick Overground (zone 2) station that is one stop away from Stratford with Central, Jubilee & DLR lines, as well as loads of buses (& N26 night bus) that go everywhere, including central London.
Bureaucracy: The deposit is £700, rent is £700 per month including broadband but excluding gas and electric that is usually around £100 (to split with 2 other flatmates) for the whole summer.
