Come and join us for free meditation sessions at Alexandra Palace Park.
We are meeting near the deer enclosure where we will start with meditation at 10:00 am
Items you may wish to bring for your comfort:
• A wraparound piece of clothing/blanket to keep you warm or a thick jacket
• Mat (e.g. yoga mat) to sit on as the ground maybe damp
• Cushion or small stool if you require it as we will be sitting on the ground
As a precaution as we will all be meditating, you may prefer not to bring with you any bags (handbags) or other items that you cannot keep on you on the day.

Situated between Muswell Hill & Wood Green, Alexandra Palace is well served by all forms of public transport and is easy to reach by underground, road, rail & air.

Wood Green is the nearest underground station on the Piccadilly Line. (journey time is 20 minutes from Piccadilly Circus). Exit Wood Green Station and go to bus stop A to pick up the W3 bus up the hill to Alexandra Palace.
BY RAIL
Alexandra Palace has its own British Rail Station, fittingly called Alexandra Palace Station. It is located at the Wood Green entrance to the Park.
BY BUS
Take the W3 bus from outside the station to the main Palm Court entrance.
Meditation technique on the day:
The technique that will be practiced is Vipassana. It’s simply to follow the incoming and the outgoing breath. When the breath has gone in, just before it comes out, there is a pause that yogis call ‘space of truth.’ It is a pause that is neither in nor out. Similarly, when the breath goes out, just before it goes in, one can experience that pause again. It is a state of meditation. With practice, the pause can be increased.
When thoughts comes in, let it do so; bring your attention again and again to the movement of your breath.
